10 EASY RULES FOR BIKE POLO

1.)Games are first to 5 or 12 minutes.

2.)3players per team.

3.)To start, players put their back wheel against the boards.The ball is positioned at center court.The referee counts down 3-2-1 Polo, and the players 'joust' for the ball.

4.)You will hear people calling 'shot' or 'shuffle'.A shot is hit with the short end of the mallet, like swinging a hammer.A shuffle is hit with the side, like sweeping for curling.For a goal to count it must be a shot.

5.)A 'dab' is when a player puts their foot on the ground.If anyone dabs they must exit the play and 'tap out' on the side boards at center court before they can touch the ball or interfere with other players.

6.)Body on body contact is permitted, as long as it is shoulder to shoulder or forerams to forearm.One hand on your mallet, one hand on your bars.

7.)Mallet on mallet contact is permitted, but excessive force is called 'striking' and is a foul.

8.)Bike on bike is the most frowned on form of contact, and is limited to incidental contact only.T-boning(riding directly into another player's bike)is not permitted.

9.)A 'ball joint' is when a player pins the ball between the open end of their mallet and the court.This is permitted only in the ball jointer's defensive end.

10.)Own goals count off any part of the mallet, shot or shuffle.
